Kalpana Viswanath is the co-founder of Safetipin, a mobile app developed to support community safety. She spearheaded the Safe Delhi for Women campaign of Jagori since 2005 and led research work that included conducting women's safety audits and surveys and played a role in creating strategic partnerships. She has been involved in providing technical support to safe city programs for women in several cities. She is on the Advisory Committee of the Second State of Asian Cities Report brought out by UN Habitat and UN ESCAP and has published widely.
