Renato Bignami has worked as a Labour Inspector since 1996. Renato has a prominent work in different fields related to Labour Administration, Industrial Relations and Labour Law. He is a former Deputy Labour Inspection Secretary, and currently is the Coordinator of the Programme for the Eradication of Slavery in São Paulo. His main interests are related to the protection of fundamental rights at work. He has a BA in law and an LLM in labour law by the University of São Paulo, and is currently developing his PhD at Universidad Complutense de Madrid. He is author of many articles and books about labour inspection, labour administration, labour law, fundamental rights at work, human trafficking, forced labour, and labour standards in supply chains.
