Bennett Freeman leads the environmental, social and governance analysis, shareholder advocacy and public policy work of the largest family of sustainable and responsible mutual funds in the U.S. with over $13 billion assets under management. Freeman served as a presidential appointee at the U.S. Department of State during the Clinton Administration, including as Deputy Assistant Secretary for Democracy, Human Rights and Labor. He is Chair of the Advisory Board of Global Witness; Board Secretary of the Global Network Initiative; a Trustee of the Institute for Human Rights and Business; and a member of the Governing Board of the Natural Resources Governance Institute.
